I just realized, it’s been more than a year since I lasted posted to this blog. Where did the time go?Well, the short answer is:

After years of inner development and awakening to the detriment of outer activity and employment, the tables seem to have finally turned.

Essentially, for the past year or so I’ve been developing screenplays whilst also earning money working as a freelance film producer. For the most part, this turn of events has been enjoyable — especially, the journey of co-writing a screenplay with Mary Reed (based in part on her memoir, Unwitting Mystic), and the immersive Eastern European experience I’ve simultaneously had in connection with two film projects.

That said, it’s been strange to experience inner development taking a back seat (after so many years of the opposite), though I never seem to find myself short of challenges, and/or opportunities to learn and grow. Otherwise, there’s nothing like having a few bucks in the bank (finally!) to lift the spirits — even if only a temporary phenomenon, lol!

In the meantime, synchronicity continues to follow me wherever I go — not just the 1:11 and 11:11 time prompts, but life seems to punctuate every decision and every choice my wife and I make with an uncanny “coincidence,” or a sign or symbol of validation or “perfect timing” — so much so that quite often we’ll look at each other and just shake our heads in amazement. So, living in the moment (as we have been doing for several years now) seems to be agreeing with us. Though, we’re both looking forward to the day when we can finally put down roots somewhere again. May that day be soon, please and thank you as all of our personal possessions are currently in storage in Los Angeles, Toronto, and to a lesser extent, Prague.

Living out of suitcases and temporary accommodations is liberating to a certain degree. But, there’s something to be said for having a primary residence to house your stuff!

  1. Hey, Mathew! Great that you’re posting again! That’s how life is, a mix of this and that, but we always come back to who we are, now with more information and experience gathered! Much love and appreciation, Valerie
